School ski trips to Myrkdalen

Expect wide, open pistes with stunning views across Norway’s famous fjord region at Myrkdalen. With more snow than almost anywhere else in the continent, Myrkdalen is one of the most snow sure resorts in Europe, and an excellent choice for both early and late season.

While not large by Alps standards, the resort’s size mean all amenities and slopes are easily accessible. Myrkdalen is also just a two-hour transfer from Bergen, and 45 minutes from the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord – meaning your group have the additional option to enjoy the full extent of the beautiful Nordic fjords on their trip.

Read about integrating a visit to Nærøyfjord into your school ski itinerary.

Features

Myrkdalen is a fantastic choice for beginners, thanks to its wide, open runs and plenty of space to polish their skills; the locals only ski at the weekends, so slopes are usually free for group use from Monday to Friday.

For more experienced skiers, there are also a few challenging runs, terrain parks and off-piste options.
