Disney's Frozen Education Workshop

Perfect for Frozen fans, this workshop is taught by award-winning Disney teaching artists and offers two options for your students: Movement & Music or Acting, both of which are focussed around the Frozen musical. If you want to find out how they bring the show to life live on the stage, you can also enjoy a post-show Q&A after their Thursday matinee performance.

 

West End Show- London

West End Show

A popular activity among our school groups, a trip to a West End show is such a treat for students, who we’ve seen revel in the experience of being in the midst of London’s “Theatreland”. Along with New York's Broadway, West End theatre is considered to represent the highest level of commercial theatre in the English speaking world. 

Pineapple Dance Studios

Founded in 1979, Pineapple Dance Studios offer over 200 classes per week in a multitude of styles, having built a reputation as a famed rehearsal space for celebrities such as Madonna and Beyoncé. We’ve seen throes of dance students inspired by a visit to this vital hub in the entertainment industry, where they can take a workshop with one of the studios’ outstanding tutors.

National Theatre

Discover the secrets that bring productions to life at the National Theatre, founded by stage icon Laurence Olivier in 1963. The theatre creates more than 20 new productions each year and is a must-visit for performing arts students. Choose between a backstage tour of some of the theatre’s best-loved plays, or explore the work in the cutting room through a costume tour.

 

Royal Opera House

The Royal Opera House is home to The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet, world leaders in lyric theatre. Based in the iconic Convent Garden theatre, it is renowned for its outstanding performances of both traditional opera and ballet as well as commissioning new works by today’s leading composers and choreographers. Limited backstage tours are available with advance booking.

 

Shakespeare's Globe

A unique international resource dedicated to the exploration of William Shakespeare's work, Shakespeare’s Globe is a must-visit for any English student. School groups can visit the Globe for either a full or half day, where they’ll enjoy a workshop, guided tour and exhibition admission.

West End Workshop

Offering a wide choice of workshops and themes such as A Song and Dance, Stage Combat and Theatre Improv; groups will also have a meet and greet with a cast member of a show they are seeing.

 

National Theatre Backstage Tour

Go backstage at Britain's largest theatre complex and discover the secrets behind bringing their productions to the stage. Get exclusive access to unseen parts of the building on a tour led by experienced and enthusiastic NT guides. You will discover the history of the iconic building, visit the three auditoriums and their backstage areas and see the workshops where sets and props are created.

 

Theatre Royal Drury Lane

Once widely viewed as London’s leading theatre, this West End theatre in Covent Garden is the oldest theatre site in London still in use, with a history dating back 400 years. On your visit, why not combine a behind-the-scenes tour with a live show, giving students the opportunity to apply educational context to the wow factor of a true West End performance.

Equity Dance or Drama Workshop

Take the opportunity to learn from one of our experienced practitioners, experts in their field and many of them long-standing Equity favourites. The workshops will take place in quality studios such as Pineapple and Danceworks.

 

Chocolate Films Workshop

A unique opportunity to participate in a half or full day workshop with this independent film company, enabling participants to take their creativity, imagination and skills to the next level. Drama students will love the 'Script To Screen' day – incorporating acting, directing and production design, whereas the Tablet workshop encourages students to create movies using the technology at their fingertips.

 

Covent Garden

A popular stop on our school trips for its cafes, restaurants, boutiques and street entertainers, Covent Garden has come a long way since its 13th century origins as a pastureland. Pause your trip here for some downtime for your students; whether they’d prefer to view a jaw dropping street performance, have a bite to eat, or shop for a souvenir, we know they’ll enjoy this excursion.

London Eye

Night or day, a ride on the London Eye offers spectacular panoramic views of the capital from high above the River Thames. Look out for the city’s biggest landmarks with your students – the Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey will all be visible, alongside the city’s more modern skyscrapers.

Leicester Square

A hub for entertainment in London’s West End, Leicester Square swells with restaurants, souvenir shops and first-rate cinemas, where regular film premieres take place. Alongside statues of Charlie Chaplin and William Shakespeare, student groups might get lucky and spot their favourite A-list Hollywood actors here – if the stars align.

Home to some of the finest contemporary artworks in the world, the Tate Modern is part of the UK’s network of four art galleries which exhibits the national collection of British art, alongside international modern and contemporary art. Fans of Harry Potter rejoice!
