Neuschwanstein Castle
One of Europe’s most famous castles, this Romanesque Revival palace is positioned on a rugged hill in southwest Bavaria offering stunning views and a wealth of history. Originally a retreat for King Ludwig II of Bavaria, the castle hosts more than a million people each year, and is an excellent setting for teaching students about Bavarian history.

Deutsches Museum
A great excursion for MFL students, the Deutsches Museum has so much to see that student groups often spend the best part of a day here. With an emphasis on science and technology, the museum holds over 100,000 objects, making it one of the most advanced science and technology museums in the world.

Olympia Park
Constructed in 1972 for the Summer Olympic Games, Munich’s Olympic Stadium has since hosted the 1974 World Cup final, Euro ‘88 final and final playoffs for the Champions League. However, prior to its building, the site was also planned to be used by the Nazi Party as they prepared to develop Munich as the “Capital of the Movement”, making it an excellent stop on school trips for history and sport students.

Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site
In commemoration of those killed at the Dachau concentration camp during the Second World War, this memorial site houses a museum, an archive and a library for your exploration. During your visit, your school group will walk through the remaining buildings of this historic site and its reconstructions, while learning about the biographies of former prisoners.

BMW Welt
One of the most popular attractions in Munich, the BMW Museum showcases the history of this iconic German brand. Students can view BMW’s wide product range on their visit here, from historic to futuristic cars, and learn about BMW’s rise to becoming one of the world’s leading car manufacturers.

Berchtesgaden Salt Mines
We can’t wait to show you the Berchtesgaden Salt Mines – the oldest of their kind in Germany. Here, students will have the chance to travel almost 1.5 kilometres of the mine, travelling on a track that takes them into the depths of the mountain. On top of interesting facts about salt production, they’ll also learn about the impressive history of the nearby Old Salt Works.

Bayern Park Freizeitparadies
Give students the afternoon off with a trip to this brilliant theme park, which contains all sorts of action and thrills to entertain your school group. With superspeed rollercoasters, exhilarating drops and whitewater rafting, there’s plenty of attractions to give your students a hard-earned break.

Find out what makes the Allianz Arena one of the world’s finest with this visit, which will take students behind the scenes for an insight into this extraordinary and unusual stadium. School groups will follow in the footsteps of professional footballers in the players’ areas – including the changing rooms – and discover exciting details relating to the arena’s unique structure.
