School ski trips to Serre Chevalier

With several small villages dotted throughout its valley and breathtaking scenery on its pistes, sunny Serre Chevalier has always been a brilliant option for school ski groups. Whether it’s the picturesque Chantemerle, which sits at the bottom of the famous Luc Alphand ski run, the historic UNESCO-listed walls of Briançon, or charming Le Monêtier-les-Bains, the fifth-largest ski resort in France has something for everyone.

Features

Even beginners can enjoy the best scenery at Serre Chevalier, thanks to nursery slopes at mid-station to gain confidence on and easy greens above the treeline. Did you know more than 80% of the resort’s slopes are above 2,000 metres? Fast lifts and shuttle buses connect each ski area and village, of which a third is tree-lined, which makes navigation simple – even when it’s snowing.

Perfect for beginners and intermediates, Briançon’s ski area sits in a south-facing valley beneath stunning peaks in the Ecrins National Park. Alongside plenty of green and blue runs to practice your turns on, the challenging ‘Vauban’ red run brings confident skiers from higher altitudes all the way back into town. Serre Chevalier is really popular among our groups, who are often reassured by the small villages’ feeling of safety.
