School ski trips to Kaprun

Discover unparalleled freedom on expansive glacier slopes at the Kitzsteinhorn, starting as early as autumn! Kaprun proudly claims one of the most snow-sure ski areas in Austria, with 100% snow reliability at the glacier guaranteeing the season lasts well into late spring. From the village of Kaprun, guests have direct access to the glacier through a panoramic ride with two cable cars, ascending from Kaprun to Maiskogel and onwards to the Kitzsteinhorn. Groups seeking a little more of a challenge can also enjoy a ski away day (or two) to neighbouring Zell am See, which is just a short bus ride away. After a day on the slopes, relax in the mountain restaurants and charming huts of Kaprun – completing your alpine adventure.

Features

The leisurely pistes of the Lechnerberg await for first-time skiers, who will learn the basics of skiing on the flatter terrain here. It’s then time to test your skills at Maiskogel and its variety of runs, the easiest of which runs all the way back to Kaprun center to make for an easy first day or two on the slopes.

By day three, you’ll be venturing higher on the Kitzsteinhorn at Langwied for the glacier’s more challenging pistes, where incredible views and 100% snow-reliability can be enjoyed across its series of blues, reds, and blacks.

Also included in your lift pass is access to neighbouring resort Zell am See and the Top of Salzburg (Gipfelwelt 3000) attraction. This is a high alpine experience that combines panoramic platforms with views across the mountains, Austria’s highest-altitude theatre Cinema 3000, and the National Park Gallery, providing students with a unique perspective of the resort, as well as the chance to learn about the wildlife that thrives here.
