Multisports school trips to Malta

A gem in the middle of the Mediterranean, Malta offers the ideal location for students to stimulate their passion for sports. Its compact size makes travelling around easy, while excellent year-round weather makes it ideal for trips over the Easter break or in May half-term.

With its strong local club structure, British football, netball, hockey, and rugby teams will have a whale of a time finessing their skills; as a Commonwealth country, Malta also provides a wide range of regional opposition for traditional UK sports, making it a great place to play competitive fixtures.

Groups will predominantly stay in St Julian's Bay, which offers speedy access to training locations, the airport, and evening activities in the area. There are a range of additional excursions within easy reach throughout the island, such as Valletta and the Blue Grotto, that students will love.

Excursions

Mdina

With history tracing back over 4,000 years, Mdina is one of Europe’s finest examples of an ancient walled city, with an incredible a mix of medieval and baroque architecture. Enclosed within Rabat, the city was Malta's capital for around 800 years, and retains several of its historical sites, such as the city gate, palaces, and fortress.

Valletta

Built by the Knights of St John on a peninsula that's only 1km by 600m, Malta’s fortified capital city of Valletta is incredibly easy to explore. Its founder decreed that it should be 'a city built by gentlemen for gentlemen', and it retains its 16th-century elegance. It may be small, but it's packed full of sights; when UNESCO named Valletta a World Heritage site, it described it as 'one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world'.

Marine Park

Discover a diverse array of marine animals, birds, and reptiles at Mediterraneo Marine Park in Naxxar, which champions marine life conservation and will teach your students about the importance of preserving our precious oceans.

Comino & Blue Lagoon

Take the ferry to the island of Comino and visit the stunning Blue Lagoon, named for its crystal clear aquamarine water. One of Malta's best beaches, this is a sight really not to be missed, and can include activities such as snorkelling and sunbathing.

Harbour Cruise

Learn more about Malta’s history with a harbour cruise around the natural harbours either side of Valletta, where you and your group will see magnificent forts, battlements, and creeks – offering abundant opportunities to learn about the city's two great sieges of 1565 and 1942.

Splash & Fun Water Park

With a vast choice of water slides and pools, Splash & Fun is the perfect place to cool off in the summer months (mid-May to Oct). Feel the exhilaration of thrilling slides such as Kamikaze and Freefall, unwind in our Lazy River, and watch as your students delight in the aquatic rides throughout the park. Embark on a day filled with excitement, serenity, and cherished memories for your school group.
