World's biggest ski area
Superb 3 star hotel
Gorgeous scenery

We can argue about which ski area is the world's best, but at 1,200kms the Superski Dolomiti is certainly the world's biggest! Much of this is "marketing mileage" though, because the areas don't link with the seemless integrity of the big French circuits, but the Val di Fassa is very much the real thing. The skiing is simply magnificent. The runs are unique in their variety, the grooming is meticulous, and the snowmaking, like everything else here, is the best.

As far as the views are concerned, visitors are simply dumb-struck by the beauty of the Dolomite panorama. It's a "must" on every skier's itinerary. From our hotel, you join the lifts at Vigo or Pozza, or 10mins further is Campitello, an entry point to the Sella Ronda.
This valley is very pretty and traditional and has the unique atmosphere of the Sudtirol which was part of Austria until 1918, so visitors enjoy a little Teutonic efficiency with their Latin Dolce Vita.

Soraga is fairly quiet and traditional. A real village with lots of charm.

Park Hotel Avisio 3* (Cap 90)
Excellent food
Free use of facilities
All room with private facilities

This terrific 3 star hotel is built in modern chalet style and located in the Historic Centre of Soraga, a pretty village about 15mins from Canazei. You can pick up the Sella Ronda lifts here, or at Campitello, 5mins nearer. We strongly recommend also using your coach (or free ski bus) to the other areas of the Val di Fassa because they are all brilliant and so accessible.

The hotel Avisio is nicely appointed and equipped. All rooms have private bath or shower, TV, hairdryer, telephone and balcony. The food is excellent. Candle-lit gala meals are available at extra cost. The fitness club and other facilities are all free except for the sun-bed.
