We can't think of many places more suitable for first year skiers than this little purpose-built resort 80 miles from Verona. Our hotel is right at the bottom of the slopes and the village is traffic-free, safe and easy to supervise. The ski pass office and ski school are just across the square. The nursery area is right outside the hotel, safely away from the main runs, with a 150m slow drag feeding a very gentle run. This returns to the hotel and the main chair lift. At the top is an excellent beginners area with a drag. The runs back to resort are intermediate, including an easy blue which gives beginners a long and satisfying journey. The length of the runs is one of the main features of this resort. Almost all the skiing is in the trees protected from white-outs and high winds but there's also a sunny, snow-sure bowl above the trees.
We have been delighted with our welcome to the resort and feel confident that Spiazzi will continue to work very well for Equity school groups.

Hotel Spiazzi (cap 190)

This large, and well equipped hotel has a perfect position next to the lifts and nursery slope. Officially a 3 star we think it's closer to a good 2 star and is an excellent and practical choice for schools. We are delighted with the food and hospitality. It is well equipped and the public areas are huge. Bedrooms are 2 - 6 bedded, all with private facilities.
