OUR SUMMARY
Brilliant skiing for absolutely everybody. One of our favourite circuits! Very snow sure, an amazing lift system and spectacular scenery. Convenient and good value coach hotels

Quite simply, the skiing, snow conditions and lift service on this big circuit are amongst the finest in Europe. The lift pass is hands-free, there are gondolas and chairs galore, and the only drag lifts left are little nursery tows. Powerful snowmaking is used to lay a good base early, although this area is a genuine snow pocket with good conditions throughout the season. Many of the lower slopes face north and are protected by trees. The runs are maintained with fanatical devotion and all in all, you would need to go a long way (North America!) to find a more professional lift company and a better system.
Three villages link together to provide lots of scope for everybody. Madonna di Campiglio is chic and upmarket; Marilleva is ugly but convenient; and Folgarida is an elegant little village with a lovely setting amongst the trees. For beginners this is a good place to learn because they take an easy gondola to the ski schools at altitude, where the snow is always good. Here, there are some pretty little tree runs fed by nursery drags, and a very slow 4 person chair serving a long, wide and almost flat beginners' run. This circuit is also an intermediates' paradise, famous for its scenic red and blue runs. The one back to Folgarida is one of the best on the system. There is a wonderful selection of beautiful, winding tree runs and virtually every route offers a blue or a red option. Advanced skiers enjoy the bumps under the lifts, the limitless off-piste, and the high mileage.
There is a terrific choice of pit stops, from little log cabins to fancy restaurants. Gorgeous scenery is par for the course in ski resorts but these Brenta Dolomites are special, with their dramatic needles and stratified outcrops powdered with snow, and far below, the spreading vastness of the Val di Sole providing one of the most spectacular panoramas in Italy.
Dimaro
This attractive and typically Italian village is a good choice by coach. It has lots of interest (please see village facts) and is a safe, pleasant venue for school parties. The lifts are only 15mins up the hill

A typical Dolomite village with lots of character and charm. The Folgarida gondola is only 15 mins up the hill so Dimaro is a very good choice by coach. We have several excellent hotels.

Hotel San Camillo (cap 180)

Great hotel for school groups in a quiet, safe part of town. There's loads of public space and great facilities including a swimming pool.

With its magnificent swimming pool, space and hospitality, the recently refurbished San Camillo is great for school groups. This big, spotless, hotel is officially a 2 star, but we think it's easily a 3 star. Although central, it has a quiet, safe position and parking. There are acres of public space. The rooms are all nicely furnished and have private facilities, telephone, safe, hairdryer and balcony. There are usually 4 beds per room, mostly 2 twins and a bunk. The friendly family has a lot of experience with school groups. Highly recommended.

HOTEL BELFIORE - Dimaro (cap 80)
Modern, but traditional family run hotel. Spacious, comfortable and always a great success.

This hotel, built in 1999, offers superb comfort and style. The public rooms are very comfortable and have all the traditional features, including tasteful, warm, timber panelling. The Ravelli family is very friendly and welcoming. The food is good, typical of the Trentino, and there is a buffet breakfast. There are 25 well equipped and elegant bedrooms with TV, radio and safe. Pay TV is also available. The Belfiore is always a great success.

HOTEL ALMAZZAGO - Dimaro 3 star (cap 90)
Friendly family-run hotel that's great by coach. Very good standard with great facilities

The Mattarei family take great pride in their warm and friendly hotel which is much better than its official standard and always receives the highest praise. The public facilities are fabulous and free. The family provides a warm welcome and aim to please. Particular care is taken to provide the home comforts. Good home cooking with typical mountain dishes feature on the menu. Breakfast is either continental or a rich buffet, and dinner is 3 courses including a vegetarian option. The very comfortable bedrooms have recently been refurbished and all have telephone with external line, automatic alarm clock, television (on request), and ensuite bathroom with hair dryer. The Almazzago has a good location 3km from the Marilleva lifts. The free ski bus takes 5mins and operates morning and afternoon.
