The perfect climate makes the Golden West a great yearround destination. See the historical centre of San Francisco and the opulence of Las Vegas. Drive through the lunar landscape that is Death Valley. Explore the spectacular, rugged National Parks of Yosemite, Zion, Bryce and the cavernous Grand Canyon. Finish is Los Angeles with some celebrity spotting or a day at a theme park. This tour is an unforgettable experience!
Sample Itinerary - USA
Day 1
Fly from London to San Francisco. On arrival you will be welcomed by your guide, transfer by coach to your hotel.
Day 2
Morning guided tour of San Francisco visiting Union Square, Chinatown and the Golden Gate Bridge. In the afternoon take a ferry ride to Alcatraz. Return to your hotel.
Day 3
Early morning departure for Berkeley University. Continue to Yosemite National Park to see Half Dome, Yosemite Valley, Bridalveil Falls and Yosemite Falls. Continue to your hotel in Fresno.
Day 4
Drive to the Nevada desert and descend to Death Valley, 320 feet below sea level. Visit Badwater Point, Furnace Creek and the sand dunes of Stovepipe. Overnight in your hotel in Death Valley.
Day 5
Early morning departure to Las Vegas for a short visit. Continue to Zion Canyon, the oldest park in Utah known for cathedral shaped cliffs reaching up to 4,000 feet. Continue to your hotel in Kanab.
Day 6
Drive across the prairies to Bryce Canyon, one of the most beautiful natural parks in Utah. The colours of the famous Pink Cliffs change constantly from dawn to dusk. Continue to Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam and then south to Gray Mountain. Drive to your hotel in Cameron.
Day 7
Drive to the Grand Canyon and walk along the South Rim to see the Colorado River 4,500 feet below. Continue to Sedona through Oak Creek Canyon and continue to your hotel in Scottsdale.
Day 8
Full day drive to Los Angeles and your hotel.
Day 9
Morning sightseeing in the city. Walk down Hollywood Boulevard and see the handprints and signatures of many famous stars in the sidewalk. Visit Beverly Hills, downtown, the business district and the Mexican quarter. In the afternoon visit the Richard Nixon Presidential Library. Overnight in Los Angeles.
Day 10
Your coach is at your disposal for further sightseeing before you transfer to the airport for your return flight to London.
Day 11
Arrive back in the U.K.
