Moselle Germany
The Moselle Valley is beautiful, gentle and more tranquil than the Rhine. It flows through some of the prettiest scenery in Germany which is dotted with historic castles and ancient vineyards. The Moselle makes for a great excursion base with convenient access to the many attractions of this area, both traditional and modern.
Traben-Trarbach has great charm and character with half-timbered houses, winding streets, old churches and fortifications. Marked walking paths around the town will take you past steeply terraced vineyards and Roman ruins. There are lots of shops and cafés. Boat trips, bicycle hire, swimming pools and tennis courts are all available.
Groups can visit Treis-Karden, which is made up of two attractive villages facing each other across the Moselle river. Beautiful Cochem is just to the south and Koblenz is about half an hour's drive so this is an ideal base for excursions. The popular KD Moselle cruises stop here. The village has swimming and mini-golf. The village has a swimming pool and mini golf.

Sample Itinerary - GERMANY
Day 1
Depart school by coach for late morning Dover-Calais ferry crossing. Continue to hotel for your evening meal (first meal). Travelling time Calais to resort: 6-7 hours.
Days 2-4
We will arrange a programme of visits for you with free use of coach subject to driver's hours regulations including your free cruise on the River Rhine.
Day 5
Travel to Calais with packed lunches for return journey.
Extra Day
Make the most of your visit by adding an extra day. Price available on request.
