Dammarie les Lys
At Dammarie les Lys, close to Fontainebleau and the Chateau Vaux le Vicomte, this purpose built centre offers a wealth of facilities for school parties.
In the extensive grounds there is a football pitch, a tennis court, a multi-activity area, a gym, and an open air swimming pool (July & August).
Seine et Marne France
The Seine et Marne, to the east of Paris deserves a longer visit than just to the Disneyland Resort. It has many famous French chateaux including Fontainebleu and Vaux le Vicomte, the forerunner of Versailles (with a great children's quiz and study book provided).
Art students can visit the villages of Barbizon and Moret, home to the impressionists. The medieval walled town of Provins, on the UNESCO world heritage list, has shows in medieval costume of falconry and of medieval war engines attacking the ramparts. You can also visit a Brie cheese factory and Champagne cellars.
Equity offers a Paris boat trip and a half day guided tour free to all groups on our coach tours.
Sample Itinerary - FRANCE
Day 1
Depart school by coach for Dover-Calais ferry crossing. Continue to your hotel or centre in Seine et Marne for your evening meal. Travelling time from Calais: 4 hours approx.
Day 2
Full day to explore the Seine et Marne area with a choice of optional visits.
Day 3
Morning guided tour of Paris by coach. Afternoon in Paris or return to the Seine et Marne area.
Day 4 Travel to Calais for return journey. Optional stop at Hypermarket time permitting.
Extra Day
