Rhine & Moselle Valleys Music Tours

The Rhine and Moselle Region is one of our most popular areas for performing groups as it combines stunning scenery, with fairy-tale castles, chocolate museums, sweeping vineyards and a selection of diverse and wonderful venues.

The Rhine has always been one of Europe’s major arteries, rising in the Swiss Alps and flowing majestically to the North Sea. River traffic is constant and varied with enormous industrial barges, pleasure craft and big river cruisers. On its banks are delightful vineyards and medieval castles built on crags. The towns and villages along the route are steeped in history and filled with charm and make great centres for our music groups.

The Moselle Valley is beautiful, gentle and more tranquil than the Rhine. It flows through some of the prettiest scenery in Germany which is dotted with historic castles and ancient vineyards. The Moselle makes for a great excursion base with convenient access to the many attractions of this area, both traditional and modern.

There is a large selection of outstanding open air venues for concert bands in spa towns such as Rudesheim am Rhein and Koblenz which have their yearly music festivals. As an alternative venue, jazz ensembles and wind bands can perform on one of the great Rhine steamers ! The churches in Bad Salzig, Boppard, Bad Neuenahr and the All Saints Anglican Church in Cologne all provide excellent venues for symphony orchestras. Choirs with sacred repertoires may offer recitals in Cologne Cathedral, Altenberger Dom and Bonn Munster.
