Bar Positions
France and Austria
There are a limited number of bar positions available
in our Equity-run hotels.
To apply for these positions you MUST be able to converse easily in
French, German and/or Italian and have experience of working in a number
of different bars. Please do not apply if you you do not meet these
criteria.
Bar Staff
France and Austria
Reporting to the Senior Bar or Bar Manager your
daily tasks will include:
- Daily cleaning and preparation of the bar
- Organising drinks promotions and special events
- Service of wine and other drinks in the hotel
restaurant
- Serving of bar food at lunchtime
- Creating a good atmosphere in the bar to attract
clients
- Table service of snacks at lunchtime
- Helping in the general cleaning of the hotel
on changeover day
- Keeping the bar well stocked at all times
Senior Bar Staff
France
Reporting to the Hotel Manager your daily tasks
will include those above and also:
- Weekly stock takes
- Ensuring the bar meets the strict French hygiene
laws at all times
- Accurate, responsible use of the till, handling
cash, closing and cashing up procedures
- Cellar work, changing of barrels, cleaning
of pipes etc
- Meeting sales targets and acheiving profit
margins
Bar Manager
Montgenevre, France
As Bar Manager of the Hotel Les Rois Mages in
Montgenevre, you will be responsible for a team of staff and the day-today
running of the two hotel bars. You will work as part of the hotel team
and report directly to the Hotel Manager.
There are set turnover and profit targets. Acheiving
these targets is one of your main aims as is the motivation and continuous
training of your staff in order to give the highest standard of service
we require. You will also be responsible for booking, promoting and
running special events/entertainments (eg theme nights, live bands etc)
All bar positions involve split shifts and you
will have one day off per week. Flexibility in working hours is a must
and it is crucial that you work closely with all other members of Equity
staff.
